2016 LAUDERDALE AIR SHOW TO FEATURE U.S. THUNDERBIRDS

The Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds will headline the 2017 Ford Lauderdale Air Show that will feature military jet demonstrations by the U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper, U.S. Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet and the Harrier Jump Jet.  The sensational Sean D. Tucker will make his first appearance in Fort Lauderdale in a decade and the GEICO Skytypers will return once again this year.

The Fort Lauderdale Air Show returns from its two-year hiatus this May 6-7, 2017 with three jet teams will be headlining the event.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will perform during the beachfront air show alongside the Canadian Air Force Snowbirds and the Breitling Jet Team, which is based in Dijon, France.
Set to take place May 7 and 8, the 2016 air show will be the first time in nearly a decade that North American spectators will see jet teams from the United States, Canada and Europe perform together at the same aerial event, per the air show’s organizers.
The last time the Lauderdale Air Show was held, in 2013, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds had to back out of the show because of federal budget cuts. So, Air Show President is glad the Fort Lauderdale Air Show will be “back on a grand scale.”

“We look forward to returning the sight and sound of freedom to the skies over Fort Lauderdale Beach next May,” Bryan Lilley said in a press release.
Tickets are on sale starting at $24 per day for adults and $16 for children.
