The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will perform during the beachfront air show alongside the Canadian Air Force Snowbirds and the Breitling Jet Team, which is based in Dijon, France.
Set to take place May 7 and 8, the 2016 air show will be the first time in nearly a decade that North American spectators will see jet teams from the United States, Canada and Europe perform together at the same aerial event, per the air show’s organizers.
The last time the Lauderdale Air Show was held, in 2013, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds had to back out of the show because of federal budget cuts. So, Air Show President is glad the Fort Lauderdale Air Show will be “back on a grand scale.”
