MIAMI, FL (17 de enero de 2020) - Tainy, el productor número uno en la industria de la música latina, continúa creando un movimiento único en la cultura urbana. Esta vez, con el lanzamiento de su primer sencillo y videoclip “Mera”, el cual formará parte de su nuevo EP, “The Kids That Grew Up On Reggaetón: Neon Tapes”.
Dalex y Álvaro Díaz, dos de los talentos más prometedores de la nueva ola urbana, se unen a esta colaboración. “Mera” es una fusión de sonidos modernos, con un “vibe” de la época dorada del Reggaetón, en la que la letra de Dalex y Álvaro nos describe la dinámica de una aventura que nadie puede saber, pero las miradas crean pura tentación. El video musical fue dirigido bajo el lente de Elliott Muscat, que refleja la esencia del tema. Podemos ver a Tainy conducir un auto a alta velocidad en el que todos huyen de unas chicas pero a la vez pasan un buen rato.
El nombre de este EP hace una clara referencia a Neon16, una “incubadora” de talentos totalmente polifacética que Marco Masís, aka Tainy, y Lex Borrero, ex-VP de Roc Nation Records, lanzaron en el 2019.
El 2019 fue un año súper exitoso para Tainy quien estuvo nominado a tres Latin GRAMMY®: ganando en la categoría “Mejor Álbum Urbano” por su trabajo de producción en el álbum “X100PRE” de Bad Bunny. También tuvo una aplaudida colaboración con Benny Blanco, Selena Gomez y J Balvin en “I Can’t Get Enough”, la cual fue su debut como artista; grabó con Bad Bunny el hit “Callaita” y lanzó su éxito mundial “Adicto” junto a Anuel AA y Ozuna.
Por último, produjo “Oasis”, de Bad Bunny y J Balvin, un disco que dominó los charts mundiales y fue clave para el posicionamiento de Tainy, quien actualmente toma el reino del listado de Billboard “Top Latin Producer” por 27 semanas consecutivas, convirtiéndose en el productor latino número uno.
El 2020 promete traer aún más éxitos para Tainy, quien está nominado al GRAMMY® americano en la categoría “Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album” (Mejor álbum rock, urbano o alternativo) por su producción en “X100PRE” de Bad Bunny y ”Oasis” de J. Balvin y Bad Bunny, tiene dos nominaciones a Premio Lo Nuestro, cuatro nominaciones a Premios Tu Música Urbana y presentará su propio show por primera vez en abril en el Festival Ceremonia en México.
Tainy, quien comenzó a explorar la producción musical a los 14 años de edad en su natal San Juan, Puerto Rico, es sin lugar a dudas una gran influencia en el movimiento que está reinventando la música urbana latina.

"Mera" is a fusion of modern sounds, with a "vibe" from Reggaeton’s golden age in which Dalex and Álvaro's lyrics describe the dynamics of a secret affair that must be kept under wraps, but obvious with looks that create pure temptation. The music video was directed by Elliott Muscat, whose directorial vision aligns with the essence of the song. We can see Tainy driving the car at high speeds in which he and his boys are running from their “temptations” and at the same time having the time of their lives.
